In one of her usual attempts to bash Alternattiva Demokratika, Daphne Caruana Galizia (TMIS, 10 February) tried to brand the Greens as anti-business. What rubbish. For the last two years, AD has been advocating a reduction in the rate of income tax paid by SMEs from 35 per cent to 30 per cent, while her party has never proposed anything of the sort.

AD is not anti-business. What we have been and will continue to be against are those businesses that continue to butcher and uglify our islands with the blessing of the two other parties – those same contractors that Daphne admits will always be

“corrupt”. Those who acclimatise themselves to corruption are themselves corrupt.
