The Maltese men’s national team will be leaving for Guangzhou, China, to participate at the 49th world team championships to be held between the 24 February and 3 March 2.

The contingent will be composed of Joe Borg Cardona, President of the MTTA as delegate, Alex Anastasi coach, players Simon Gerada, Edward Baldacchino, Mario Genovese and David Pace.

The draws involving the Maltese team will be held on 22 February.

Johanna Grech will also accompany the contingent as a full member of the International Table Tennis Federation Technical Committee to attend various meetings and seminars.

It is to be noted that, as usual, the largest European Sports Network Eurosport will broadcast these championships live and delayed.
