New Style livery for MSC Cruises fleet

Malta Independent Wednesday, 20 February 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

MSC Cruises has begun restyling the exteriors of the ships in their fleet.

MSC Armonia based in Brazil this winter, and MSC Lirica operating from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, are the first of the ships to have the MSC logo painted on their sides.

The display of the MSC compass logo on the hull of each ship will ensure instant recognition in the ports visited during their many and varied itineraries. The compass logo was incorporated by MSC Cruises in 2004, and symbolises the diversity of the horizons reached by the ships in the fleet. The MSC acronym in the centre of the compass represents the guest at the centre of the MSC Cruises world.

MSC Cruises is recognised as a cruise line that offers impeccable service, warm hospitality, renowned gastronomy, exciting design and great comfort in the cabins and public spaces.

These are the plus points that distinguish MSC Cruises as the flag bearer on the oceans of all that is regarded as the Made in Italy brand.

MSC Cruises is a major player in the international cruise market, and through her modern fleet with its technologically advanced systems and distinct Italian elegance, offers guests great choice.

MSC Cruises currently has a fleet of eight ships: MSC Orchestra, MSC Musica, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Opera, MSC Armonia, MSC Lirica, MSC Melody and MSC Rhapsody, cruising in the Mediterranean all year round, and in Northern Europe, the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean and South America. The fleet will increase to 12 ships by 2010. In the spring of 2008 MSC Poesia – the third ship in the “Musica” class – will join the fleet, and in the autumn of 2008 and spring of 2009 will be followed by MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida.

These will be two of the largest ships built by a European ship owner. Then in 2010 MSC Magnifica, the fourth ship in the Musica class will enter service.
