The National Commission for the Promotion of Equality yesterday held its annual conference, with Family and Social Solidarity Minister Dolores Cristina thanking it for its commitment and expressing appreciation that the commission was also promoting equality in the matter of race.

The commission presented a new document, Racial and ethnic origin equality manual-toolkit, partly financed by the Embassy of Holland. Its aim is to raise awareness and recognition of the anti-discrimination law. It can also serve as a guide for organisations to eliminate discriminatory practices.
