Malta’s Pool national team yesterday won the European 8-ball Championships being played in Malta.

In a convincing 8-4 win over world champions England, the Maltese team triumphed for the second time.

The Malta team comprised Antoine Cuschieri, Ivan Rizzo, Clint Azzopardi, Stephen Mangion, Clayton Attard and Mario Cutajar and was managed by Carmel Cilia.

The presentation ceremony was held at the Dolmen Hotel in Bugibba yesterday evening.
