Arrogance is refusing to answer questions asked by the media other than those posed by staged One TV journalists.

Arrogance is disregarding the electorate’s decision to join the EU by promising to re-open the signed and sealed pact.
Arrogance is persisting that it is possible to reopen the “package” when bluntly told by the highest authority at the EU that it is virtually impossible to reopen the “package” let alone altering its contents.
Arrogance is writing an election manifesto which described future MLP government projects which had already been implemented by the past PN government and have the gall to regard these serious miscues as mere “typos”.
Arrogance is the description of the MLP as “new” when Sant is still surrounded by the failed former ministers of 1996-1998 posing as new when in fact they still preach their old outdated stuff.
Arrogance is proposing to pay overtime at flat rates hurting all workers. Where is the GWU now that it always preached in the past that it will not permit any measures which will ‘touch’ any gains so laboriously fought for?
Arrogance is throwing mud at the PN hoping that some will stick, even after the PN has a tall record of winning libel suits against the mud flung by a desperate MLP. One such suit won only last week in favour of Minister Pullicino who gains a handsome e2,000. Thanks MLP – a nice contribution to George’s election campaign!
Arrogance is promising a better future when the 22 months in office produced nothing but confusion, loss of jobs, new 33 taxes, introduction of CET which did not work except generating some business for new cash registers bought by shopkeepers who smashed their old registers believing the MLP promise that they will no longer be needed!
Arrogance is failing to admit that every prediction by their fearless leader turned out to be a dud and every piece of “advice” given to the past PN government was wrong and conceived in haste and without merit.
Arrogance is not being forthright with their policies, explaining the cost and source of financing for their future projects including the now famous “cutting the surcharge by half” in the light of the price of oil topping $100 a barrel.
Arrogance is not answering the question of possible sharp increases in metre rental fees to make up for reducing the surcharge.
Arrogance is not promising to leave the students’ stipends as they are now if not improving them.
If Eddy Privitera (TMID, 20 February) gives satisfactory answers to the above, then I may start taking him more seriously.
