Let’s Continue

“After almost 20 years in office, the present government is taking everyone for granted rendering itself arrogant” wrote Simon Galea (TMID, 21 February).

As an AD council candidate he conveniently tries to make us forget the catastrophic 20 months of MLP non governance 10 years ago by Dr Alfred Sant, where in a matter of weeks he froze Malta’s EU membership application.

Is it not a coincidence that other AD writers and speakers, are also conveniently forgetting the 20 months of uncertainty under Dr Sant’s rule together with the Labour billboard campaign: “ghoxrin sena...... issa z-zejjed” (20 years… it’s enough)

The problem about coalition is with whom it can be done. The only available party is the Malta Labour Party with Alfred Sant as Prime Minister.

When Alternattiva states that it will form a coalition with any one of the two parties, it is only showing us its thirst for power. The party looks opportunistic and ready to go with anyone.

The first four years of the Gonzi government are full of success stories of Malta in the EU. Let us help him continue the job.
