A good number of youngsters attend Basketball sessions at the outdoor facilities of the Marsa Sports Complex on Saturdays between 9am and 10.30am. Basketball is one of the many sport disciplines that is offered by Skolasport, organised by the Kunsill Malti ghall-iSport and sponsored by Kelloggs.

“Basketball offers a good opportunity to be part of a team?said young and dedicated coach Fiona Schembri “a team which provides a sense of ownership, identity, satisfaction and commitment, thus leading to team success too? Fiona is assisted by Coach Samantha Tabone who has joined the Skolasport coaching team recently.

Participants from all over Malta trod into the Marsa Sports Complex to practice Basketball. They are split into smaller groups according to age and ability. During each session, the fundamentals of basketball ?passing, dribbling and shooting, are introduced and worked upon.
