A 22-year-old man was jailed for 12 months after he was found guilty of breaching a probation order handed down by the Court of Magistrates on 21 March 2006.
Gary Mifsud, from Zabbar, had been placed under probation for three years and given a number of directives including that of attending a drug rehabilitation programme.
The court, presided over by Magistrate Lawrence Quintano, heard how Mifsud breached a court order on 4 August 2006 and was ordered to undergo rehabilitation on 14 September 2006.
A probation officer testified that Mifsud had breached the probation order.
Police Inspector Dennis Theuma prosecuted.
