Doreen Vella of Zurrieq Wolves obtained one of her best results in her career when she finished second in the women’s category in the Piacenza half marathon in Italy, at the weekend.

She clocked one hour 25 minutes and 52 seconds.

Also taking part in the same event were two other Zurrieq Wolves athletes, Pawlu Camilleri, who registered a time of 1:20.37 and Melvin Mifsud who clocked 1:20.30.
