Mtarfa-Fgura U 1-5
Fgura played the better football early on and after seven minutes an Ivan Cassar free-kick finished just high.
Two minutes later a Matthew Spiteri effort was well saved by Adrian Muscat but they managed to break the deadlock in the 17th minute with Matthew Spiteri hitting the post with a shot from outside the penalty area but Mark Ellul shot in from close-range.
Attard replied through Richard Attard who was denied by Ranier Farrugia with Fgura making it 2-0 in the 23rd minute as a good move by Matthew Spiteri was finished off by Thomas Butterworth.
Mtarfa’s reaction produced a goal scored by Mario Stivala in the 33rd minute and just before the break Fgura were denied by Muscat off an attempt by Mark Ellul. Seven minutes after the restart Fgura were unlucky to hit the post through Mark Ellul and were later on denied by Muscat off a shot by Chris Bordieri.
Fgura scored a third goal in the 71st minute through Ivan Pace and added a fourth goal in the 83rd minute through Mark Ellul following an indecision by Mtarfa’s custodian Muscat.
Two minutes from time substitute Sean Desira sealed Fgura’s comfortable win with a fifth and final goal.

Mdina K.-Qrendi 0-2
Mdina were very close early on through a Nicky Micallef volley which was well saved by Qrendi’s goalkeeper Roderick Mascena.
In the 15th minute Qrendi replied through a dangerous Ludvic Bartolo free-kick and the same player hit just wide in the 37th minute. Five minutes before the change of ends Qrendi broke the deadlock as a Joseph Mercieca corner-kick was finished off by Richard Galea.
Qrendi had a flying start to the second-half as they made it 2-0 in the 47th minute through Joseph Mercieca following a personal effort.
In the 52nd minute Ludvic Bartolo wasted a glaring opportunity for Qrendi with Mdina being very close through Joe Debono whose volley was well saved by Roderick Mascena and a Clint Caruana free-kick which just missed the target.
Just after the final whistle, an Mdina player Roderick Schembri was shown the red card after passing comments to the referee Khalil.
