Holy Week celebrations at Cathedral Church

Holy Week celebrations at the Cathedral Church in Mdina will start on Palm Sunday, at 9.30am, with a blessing of palm and olive branches at the Benedictine church, followed by a procession to the Cathedral. After the procession there will be a solemn concelebrated Mass.

The celebrations continue on Maundy Thursday. At 6.30pm there will be the Solemn Memorial of the Lord’s Supper. From 10pm there will be a Holy Hour.

The Good Friday celebration will start at 3.30pm. There will be a solemn liturgical function, including the adoration of the Cross and Holy Communion.

Saturday’s Easter Vigil will start at 8pm.

On Easter Sunday the functions at the Cathedral will be as on other Sundays. A solemn concelebrated Mass begins at 9.30am.
