Karl Spiteri, Manager, Corporate Branding and Quality at Bank of Valletta presented the BOV Player of the Month Trophy to Kevin Sammut. Congratulating the player for this achievement, Mr Spiteri referred to BOV's Community Programme as an important tool through which BOV supports the development of Maltese sport and encourages athletes to strive for excellence.

Kevin Sammut has been an automatic choice for his team so far this year. He is also an established player in Malta's national squad. Gifted with excellent skills and agility, this right-sided forward has been in the limelight with his qualities as a provider rather than an executioner of goals. His pin-pointed passes or crosses to his team-mates are evidence of his sense of altruism.

His goal-scoring ability is not to be overlooked either, as was attested by his remarkable running into position before getting the right service to slot home a splendid equaliser against Valletta late in February. There is no doubt that this Marsaxlokk forward has a lot to offer to the local football scene and this monthly award is testimony to his skills as a player.
