Finance and Economy Minister Tonio Fenech has acceded to a request by the GRTU, Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises, to allow shops to open on all days during the week before Easter, except on Good Friday.
This means that all shops may open for trade this Sunday and on Wednesday, feast of St Joseph, during normal opening hours. It is up to the shop owners whether or not to open for trade.
