The Royal Malta Yacht Club will this weekend, be organising its first race in the Club's sailing season. The BOV Spring Series consists of a coastal race together with two "round the cans" races and will again be sponsored by Bank of Valletta plc.

Artie Go, owned by Lee Satariano and skippered by Christian Ripard, should probably start the season off as firm favourite but Martin Scicluna on board Air Malta Maltese Falcon will also be in contention for the season opener.

Both boats sailed a great season last year and should continue on their winning form.

Also in contention could be Martin Beachin on board Mischief. Martin has finally tuned his Dehler and could possibly be a firm favourite for the BOV Spring Series.

Orlando, Maarial, Elusive and possibly Allegra, should also be competing.

Racing starts tomorrow morning at 9.30 from the waters opposite the Royal Malta Yacht Club.
