Professor Rei Shiratori will be giving a lecture to students of Public Policy and Political Studies on Tuesday at 5.30pm in Lecture Theatre 1 at the University of Malta.
Professor Shiratori is currently President of the Institute for Political Studies of Japan, Select Professor of Political Studies at Akita International University and Honorary Consul for Malta in Japan. He is also Emeritus Professor of Dokkyo University and Tokai University in Japan.
The theme of his lecture will be Japanese Politics after Koizumi: Beginning of New Style Politics or End of Regime?
Prof. Shiratori has already delivered this lecture to students and staff at the Henry Jackson School of International Studies of the University of Washington, in the USA. University of Malta students of International Relations and from other faculties may also attend this lecture, if they wish.
Similarly, interested members of the public will also be welcome.
