Malta Independent Saturday, 22 March 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

French electric giant Legrand held its annual week-long conference in Malta last week. The Group’s vice-president for purchasing Jean-Pierre Rouffet was extremely pleased with the outcome and with the Island’s suitability as a major conference venue. Having held other company events in Malta in the past, the vice-president praised the wonderful climate, close proximity of services and places of interest and in particular what he described as “Malta’s leading edge communications technology”.

The Legrand Group’s delegation consisted of 21 teams from 29 different destinations where the company operates. Events included team-building exercises that saw the participants producing a video and photographic exhibition with the chosen theme of “Solidarity through Diversity”.

They also took part in sightseeing tours that included a cruise around the Grand Harbour.

The French company Evimages was instrumental in bringing the Legrand Group over to Malta assisted locally by destination management company MI Malta Ltd.
