Eight members of the Emergency Fire and Rescue Unit will be cycling 128 kms, from Pozzallo to Syracuse and back, on 2 May, to raise money for their Community Assistance Programme and in aid of the Puttinu Cares – Children’s Cancer Support Group.

All those taking part in the ride are non-professional cyclists.

The Emergency Fire and Rescue Unit is a philanthropic voluntary organisation specialising in rescue and first aid and its main aim is to support the constituted authorities in case of national disasters or when requested to.
