Kindly allow me to refer to the letter titled: “Insulting adjectives” by correspondent Sharon Grech (TMID, 15 March), in which letter she, (correspondent), stated that Prime Minister Dr Lawrence Gonzi never once condemned what, according to her, were “insulting adjectives” written by Daphne Caruana Galizia whenever she referred to Dr Alfred Sant.
In this context, one can rebut that the leading columnist in question is neither a leader nor an official of the Nationalist Party, and, as a consequence, can voice a personal opinion in favour, or against, any policy forwarded by any one of the major political parties.
In conclusion, what one can consider, very surprising, is the fact that no socialist speaker has ever condemned the bomb threat suffered by Mrs Caruana Galizia in the run-up to Saturday 8 March General Election.
