This year’s Men’s Lawn Bowls World Cup will be held at Warilla Bowling Club on Sydney’s South Coast, near Wollongong, from 8 to 18 April
For the second time, Shaun Parnis, a member of the Maltese Bowlers Social Group, (NSW) will be representing Malta in the Men’s Singles.
In his first attempt at the prestigious World Junior Cup event two years ago, Shaun achieved excellent results beyond many expectations.
This year’s draws are as follows:
Tuesday 8 April – 11am vs – Shingo Nakamura of Japan; 3pm vs –Ian Merrien of Guernsey
Wednesday 9 April – 1pm vs Luis Fernandes of Hong Kong
Thursday 10 April – 9am vs Zvika Hadar of Israel; 1pm vs Ali Forsyth of New Zealand
Friday 11 April – 1pm vs Phil Jones of Norfolk Island
Saturday 12 April – 9am vs Stewart Banks of Portugal; 1pm vs Safuan Said of Malaysia
Sunday 13 April – 1pm vs Eric Ohk of Korea
The playoffs are scheduled for 15 April to 18 April.
It would be ideal if Lawn Bowlers of Maltese origin would be at Warilla Bowling Club to support Shaun Parnis on any of the above dates.
