After the success achieved during the second Atalanta Christmas Football Stage organised in Malta last December, Birkirkara F.C. Youth Nursery, in collaboration with Atalanta B.C., will once again be giving the opportunity to all soccer enthusiasts to participate in a professional football training camp abroad.
This event is organised annually by Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio, the Italian Serie A football club renowned mostly for promoting youth soccer players, for a seven week period during the summer months where hundreds of youngsters from all over Italy will be participating.
The Birkirkara nursery is inviting all children living in Malta and Gozo aged between 8 and 16 (born between 1992 and 2000) for this event which consists mainly of a seven day training camp in Val di Fiemme, Cavalese (Trento) and another two days of fun at Gardaland Theme Park.
The children will have the opportunity to train under the guidance of professional Italian coaches and be assessed individually during competitive games. Every participant will be given training kits to use during the sessions and other sportswear for keeps together with a technical report, photos and other official Atalanta material.
Apart from learning football skills, the kids will enjoy themselves in other social activities organized namely outings and picnics in the mountains, table tennis, table soccer, giochi senza frontieri and swimming.
During the week, all participants will have the chance to watch closely an Italian Serie A football team during a session of their pre-season training too.
The dates for this exclusive event will take place between 12 and 22 July 2008.
