Yesterday afternoon, the police received a report about an armed robbery which took place in an establishment in Zabbar.

Initial on-site investigations indicated that an armed man entered an amusement machine establishment and demanded money from an employee. The robber, armed with a screwdriver, stole a sum of money and fled the scene. Nobody was injured in this incident. Duty magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera was informed about the case, and engaged a number of experts to help in the inquiry.

Further investigation by the police is being undertaken.
