The Malta Labour Party congratulated the Maltese national football team for its display in the 7-1 friendly win over Liechtenstein.

The Labour Party congratulated each member of the team, coach Dusan Fitzel, his coaching staff, and all the personnel of the Malta Football Association (MFA) led by President Dr Joe Mifsud.

“Performances like these are a demonstration of the work and dedication of the national team and the MFA, and help give our country a good name. The significance of such a result increases when one bears in mind the limited human and financial resources Maltese sports faces,” said the MLP.

This performance also serves to attract more Maltese youths to actively participate in sports.

The Labour Party encouraged the national football team to continue its sterling work, and hopes for future performances that will once again make us proud to be Maltese.
