Stephen Vella was the overall winner of the Zanev Trap trophy organised this weekend by the Malta Shooting Sport Federation at the Bidnija ranges.

On Saturday, Stephen started with a straight of 25 out of 25, followed by 24, 22 and 20, and 21 on Sunday, that is, 112/125 (MQS) plus 19 in the barrage finals for a total of 131/150

Second placed was Nicky Carabott with 110+20=130. Jeffrey Pisani placed third with 111+16=127 (after shoot-off) while Eugene Borg placed fourth with 111+16=127.

Jason John Aquilina was fifth with 105+18=123 and Lino Galea sixth with 104+18=122

Class A 1st.Stanley Cardona 47/50; 2nd Jeffery Pisani 45/50; 3rd Nicky Carabott 44/50.

Class B 1st Eugene Borg 46/50; 2nd Charlie Muscat 44/50; 3rd Emmanuel Saliba 44/50.

Class C 1st Joe Zammit 37/50; 2nd Tony Zammit 36/50; 3rd Edwin Vella 36/50.

The Trophy and cash prizes were presented and sponsored by Nazzareno Attard, managing director of Zanev Excavations Ltd.
