FA Trophy holders Hibernians were yesterday drawn against Premier League leaders Valletta in the competition’s quarter finals.

In the other matches, champions Marsaxlokk will be facing in-form Birkirkara, whilst rivals Sliema Wanderers and Floriana will meet in an ‘Old Firm’ revival.

The only First Division side still in the competition - Dingli Swallows - will be facing Hamrun Spartans in the other quarter final. The matches will be played on Saturday 12 April and Sunday 13 April.

The First Division KO draws were also made yesterday, with holders Tarxien Rainbows drawn to meet Senglea Athletics.

A much-awaited match will be the Cottonera derby between St George’s and Vittoriosa Stars. Last year’s beaten finalist and current league leaders Mosta will face Mellieha, whilst Dingli Swallows will clash against Marsa.

Like the Trophy matches these matches will be playd on Saturday 12 April and Sunday 13 April, but the match between Dingli and Marsa will be played on another date as Dingli will be involved in the U*BET FA Trophy clash against Hamrun Spartans.
