Reference is made to Anthony Micallef Debono’s letter “Elections are hard going” in which he not only complains but also protests against the General Secretary of the Malta Union of Teachers for refusing to furnish him with union members’ personal details.

The MUT General Secretary should be lauded for taking such a responsible decision and for fully respecting the Data Protection Act. Does this imply that if Mr Micallef Debono is elected he would be ready to divulge such sensitive information?
