The Gozo Sports Complex staged the first Racket tournament last Monday.

The event consisted of a competition involving three racket disciplines – Table-tennis, Lawn Tennis and Squash.

Participation was good with around 40 contestants competing in the three disciplines. The activity was sponsored by Sports Mania outlet which offered cash vouchers to the winners.

The event was an opportunity for all racket enthusiasts to practise their sport, and a promotional occasion for the Gozo Sports Complex to boost sports in Gozo.

It is the intention of the administration of the Gozo Sports Complex to continue to promote such activities in future.
