The Gozo Amateur Athletic Association (GAAA) in collaboration with the Malta Amateur Athletic Association, the Xaghra Local council and the Ministry for Gozo is holding the 33rd edition of the Gozo Half Marathon on Sunday 27 April.

This annual event is a challenge for all athletes especially for all Gozitan footballers, athletes and referees.

The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 9.45am and leaves from Xaghra towards Marsalforn, Victoria, Sannat, Xewkija, Ghajnsielem, Qala, Nadur and finally back to Xaghra.

The eight-mile race starts at 9.45am as well from Xaghra towards Marsalforn, Victoria, Sannat, Xewkija and back to Xaghra.

A 2Km and a 4Km race and a Fun Run for all comers are to be held for the young athletes in the limits of Xaghra. Both races start at 9am.

Medals and trophies are to be distributed to all those who complete the races including the Fun Run.

Moreover 95 trophies are to be distributed for the several categories including the first three Gozitans in each race, that is, the 13.1 mile race, the eight mile race, the 4Km race and the 2Km race.
