The winter leagues continues this afternoon with the second batch of matches.

In the second, Exiles will be making their bow in this year’s competition as they face Sliema McDonald’s.

In the first match this afternoon, Neptunes Vodafone will be meeting Sirens Hard Rock Café. The other team, San Giljan, will have a rest this week.

Neptunes and Sliema had a good start when they won their opening matches last week, Sliema overcoming Sirens 11-7 and Neptunes defeating Balluta Bay rivals San Giljan 10-8.

The Blues must be considered favourites to beat Exiles but Neptunes will certainly be made to fight hard to obtain the points against the St Paul’s Bay club who will be seeking to register their first win and also to remain in contention.

The first match today between Neptunes and Sirens starts at 6.15pm; the second, between Sliema and Exiles, starts at 7.15pm.
