Alex Borg is the Malta champion for a record sixth consecutive time when in the final he defeated Simon Zammit 7-3.

In front of a very good crowd at St. Joseph Band Club Ghaxaq, Alex Borg took the first frame 62-33, but Simon Zammit hit back winning the second and third frames 69-26 and 70-38.

Alex Borg was back on level terms winning the fourth frame 77-32.

He regained the lead winning a keenly contested fifth frame 67-56 and the sixth 58-5.

Zammit came back winning the seventh frame 72-14, but Alex Borg stormed to victory winning thre frames on the trot 63-48, 74-43 and 66-2.
