Dingli Swallows gave another great display yesterday beating Marsa 4-1 to move to the semi-final stages of the First Division Knock Out.

The newly promoted side joined Tarxien, Mosta and Vittoriosa with the last four of this competition.

Dingli Swallows were the better side througout and could have even won by a bigger margin, had it not been for some daring saves by the Marsa custodian Paul Medina.

From the very first whistle Dingli stormed forward and after some close misses, they took the lead on seventeen minutes when Etienne Farrugia passed to Mark Galea who nodded down towards Anywanna who hammered the ball home.

On 26 minutes Dingli doubled the score when from another Etienne Farrugia cross, Rodrick Spiteri first-timed into the net.

On the resumption of play Dingli scored their third goal with another great move by Etienne Farrugia who crossed towards Mark Galea whose diving header finished in the top corner of the net.

Dingli Swallows continued to attack and create many scoring chances with Medina saving everything that came his way.

On 89 minutes Marsa scored a consolation goal when Warren Chircop shot home from close range.

On 90 minutes Dingli sealed the issue with their fourth goal when from yet another Etienne Farrugia cross, substitute Jonathan Sapiano beat the Marsa goalkeeper for the last time.
