I must admit that I have never wasted so much time trying to understand this sort of writing but eventually the message is somewhat clear.

Anthony Ellul (Daphne for MLP leader, TMID, 10 April) is still trying to come to terms with Labour’s third consecutive defeat!

He has at least five more years to solve his problem and in the meantime he should keep himself busy trying to fathom the reasons why.
