This photo, taken last Tuesday at 11.45am, shows a vehicle used by traffic wardens parked on a reserved spot. The same warden was issuing tickets to other vehicles around the corner.

I politely pointed out to the warden, a lady, that it was very ironic of her to issue tickets when she herself was illegally parked.

She very rudely told me “Kif nista’ naghti t-tickets jekk m’hawnx fejn nipparkja! Issa itlaq u taghmilx xoghli.” (How can I give tickets if there is nowhere to park. Now move off and don’t do my work).

Hardly an attitude of a guardian of the law!
