Miguel Falzon and Matthias Mallia were the winners of the qualification tournaments held at the Pandora Band Club, Zejtun.

In the seniors category Falzon of Top Gun Bar, beat Duncan Bezzina of Domus Kids 8-5.

These two players will be representing Malta in the world championships being held in Blackpool, England, between 29 June and 11 July.

In the semi-finals, Falzon defeated Kevin Mercieca of Domus Kids 7-4 while Bezzina beat Christ Tabone of Jojo’s Bar 7-2.

In the Under 18 category, Matthias Mallia beat Wedley Zammit 6-4 in the final. Both players play for Downtown Bar and have also earned the right to represent the country in their category in the Blackpool championships.

In the semi-finals, Mallia had beaten Lyden Debono of San Gwann Bocci Club 5-1 while Zammit overcame Dylan Attard of Domus Kids 5-4.
