Malta national team goalkeeper Justin Haber is expecting to move on to pastures new next season.
The goalie is contracted with Greek second division club Haidair, till the end of next season, but in the past few weeks, there have been rumours in Athens that the goalie was on the wanted list of two clubs who play in the Super League of the country.
No names have yet been mentioned but Haber told this newspaper that he has just been to England where at least another two clubs - a Championship club and another from League One - have offered him a trial at the start of next season.
In the past few days he has been training with the club from the Championship. No trial was offered now as the season in England was nearing its end.
Haber said this offer from the Championship side could prove to be very interesting. "They have a top goalkeepers' coach among their ranks and I am sure I will be able to further develop my skills, if I had to move there. But playing in the Greek Super League is also very tempting," he said.
Haber believes that at present, it is not the right time to think of a move, but he is keeping his fingers crossed that he could make a big leap forward next summer.
Haber has played 15 games for Haidari this season and there are still eight more for the end of the season. The club is occupying 10th place in the 18-team division, three points away from the top five. "We are in a strong mid-table position. It is almost impossible to win promotion, but we are also far away from the relegation zone," he said.
An interview with the player is being screened this evening on Melita Cable network during the programme KICK-OFF which starts at 7pm.
