The Malta Volleyball Association is carrying out last minute preparations in order to ensure that the European Championships will be a success.

The national teams of Cyprus, Iceland and San Marino, together with Malta, will be competing between 16 and 18 May for a place in the final round that will be held next year in Luxembourg.

A number of international referees from Italy, Cyprus, Iceland and San Marino together with Malta’s Marvic Micallef will be controlling the games.

There are high hopes amongst the local squad after encouraging results obtained against Italian teams during a training camp in Salerno, Italy just a few weeks ago.

The full tournament fixture list is as follows:

16 May: 5.30pm Iceland vs Cyprus; 8pm San Marino vs Malta

17 May: 5.30pm Cyprus vs San Marino; 8pm Malta vs Iceland

18 May: 2pm Iceland vs San Marino; 4.30pm Cyprus vs Malta
