For the second year running, a female participant won the Homes of Quality Golf Tournament, with the title going to Joanna Azzopardi, (pictured centre) a local golf enthusiast who won the tournament with 77 points.
This was the second edition of the Homes of Quality Golf tournament which took place at the Royal Malta Golf Club last weekend..
The tournament included a men’s stableford competition and a separate ladies’ stableford competition. The top 72 scores from both competitions then qualified for the final round that took place on the 27 April. All competitors fought it out for the top prize consisting of a trip for two to Tuscany, including entry to a top Tuscan golf course whilst there, with complements of Homes of Quality, members of the Frank Salt Real Estate Group.
Monica Borain led the ladies’ round with 74 points, followed by Maike Beekman on 71. The leading man was Rudi Critien with 76 points, followed by Peter Satariano with 74.
The men’s longest drive was won by Jan Goransson whilst the winner of the ladies longest drive was Maureen Borg. Men’s nearest the pin was won by Nicky Beck and the ladies by Anna Jackson.
The prizes were presented during an evening get together sponsored by the Frank Salt Real Estate Group. Frank Salt himself made the presentation and expressed his pleasure at seeing the overall competition won by one of the lady golfers.
