Emirates Launches Cyprus 2008 brochure for Maltese customers

Malta Independent Thursday, 8 May 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

As part of promoting Cyprus as a friendly touristic destination, Emirates launched a special Cyprus Dream Vacations 2008 brochure specifically tailored for Maltese customers. Produced and operated by Top 3 Travel Solutions, this brochure, offers flexible, affordable and quality packages around the Mediterranean Island of Cyprus.

The brochure was presented to the travel trade by Paul Fleri Soler, Emirates’ manager for Malta and Cyprus, during the Love Cyprus event held in collaboration with Cyprus Tourism Organisation at the InterContinental Hotel Malta.

Mr Fleri Soler said: “The 2008 colourful brochure offers a range of holiday programmes with the best possible options and value. The carefully selected packages allow visitors to experience all the magic of Cyprus. Emirates flies directly from Malta to Cyprus five times a week and we ensure that our passengers are offered the highest standards of comfort, service and entertainment.”

Steeped in history, Cyprus is rich in archaeological treasures and there are many intriguing sites to visit. Being the birthplace of Aphrodite goddess of Love, many legends abound. Most Cypriots speak English and even drive on the same side of the road as in Malta. Visitors can hire a car and explore the beautiful island at their leisure and visit the numerous villages each with their own typical tavernas offering a vast selection of mezes.

Although it offers international cuisine, Cyprus is proud of its own mouth-watering dishes – an exotic blend of Greek and oriental dishes. Meze is a speciality, consisting of vegetable and meat dishes, dips and bread.

The brochure features a choice of hotels in Ayia Napa, Protaras, Larnaca, Limassol, Nicosia, Paphos, Platres and Troodos Mountains and Aphrodite Hills. Travellers can opt to have a 2-centre or a multiple-centre holiday, combining a deluxe stay for three nights in Aphrodite Hills with four nights in Ayia Napa. Alternatively they can go for three nights in Paphos, two nights in the mountains and four nights in lively Ayia Napa. The combinations are endless.

Cyprus is perfect for family holidays. There are plenty of activities to keep the little ones happy, including Europe’s largest water park, the Waterworld Park in Ayia Napa. Moreover, sports enthusiasts will find a wealth of water sports, golf, fishing and gyms.

Travellers from Malta can fly directly to Larnaca on Emirates’ state-of-the-art aircraft, Boeing 777-300 in a three-class configuration. The airline operates five flights weekly, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
