The ‘Real Leeds’ Malta branch, official supporters Club of Leeds United in Malta, was very honoured recently when its Chairman, Hilary Attard, was invited to Elland Road to attend the Club’s ‘Player of the Year’ Awards dinner and also the Members Awards dinner.

Mr Attard was also chosen by the Board of Directors to present the ‘Young Player of the Year’ Award (see photo).

The awards dinner was attended by the club’s chairman Ken Bates, board of directors, team management and staff as well as all the playing staff. Mr Attard was also presented with a Leeds United shirt signed by all the players in recognition of all his hard work with the Supporters Club in Malta for the last 30 years!

This year’s young player of the year went to Jonny Howson who incidentally is also a good acquaintance of Hilary.

A contingent of Real Leeds Malta Branch will be at Wembley next Sunday for the decisive League One promotion play off final.

Arrangements have also been made for the branch supporters who will be in Malta on the day to view the match together in a private Pub.

Some overseas Leeds United supporters who will be in Malta on the day will also be attending this event.
