The Liverpool Supporters Club Malta Gozo Branch has just concluded the 10th year anniversary celebrations. These celebrations ended in style with a very important guest of honour. Phil Neal, the most decorated Liverpool player accepted the Branch’s invitation to come over for a few days in Gozo.

This was his second visit to our islands, the first one being in 2002 together with David Fairclough. A get together was held at the Downtown Hotel on the 10 of May 2008. A considerable crowd attended the activity and all supporters had the opportunity to take photos and talk to Phil about his countless experiences with Liverpool. On Sunday he watched the last game of the season at the Gozo club. It was a fantastic experience for all the members to watch the game with such a great footballer. At the end of the match, a plaque was inaugurated, confirming him as the Honorary President of the Liverpool Supporters Club Malta Gozo Branch.
