Qormi succeeded to make the play-offs for a place in Challenge 2 after finishing in second place in Pool A which was won by the home team, KPH Raca.

In the first match Qormi beat the Swedish team IFK Taby LHK 3-1 with goals by Philip Magri, Keith Calleja and Jonathan Borg (pen).

In the second game Qormi lost 3-0 to the home team KPH Raca.

The third game against Napeos Apollon of Greece was not short of thrills with both sides having their chances. However it was Qormi who clinched the second place with a delightful goal by Philip Magri in the dying minutes of the game.

Atasport of Azerbaigan won Pool B with impressive wins over HK Pliva Lipovci of Slovenia, Epitok HC of Hungary and Tempu of Finland.

In the play-offs HK Pliva Lipovci beat KPH Raca 3-1 and Atasport beat Qormi 6-0.

HK Pliva Lipovci and Atasport are promoted to Challenge 2. The Scandinavian teams of Tempu and IFK Taby LHK are relegated to Challenge 4.

The Malta team has retained their place in Challenge 3.
