A 25-year-old from Zabbar was yesterday conditionally discharged for 16 months after being found guilty of cocaine possession, disobeying police orders and breaching the peace.
Mario Scerri was found guilty of being in possession of cocaine at a party in Hal Far on 6 June 2004. He was caught as he was being searched while trying to gain entry to the party.
He was, however, cleared of threatening police officers and using obscene language in public. The court, presided over by magistrate Lawrence Quintano, conditionally discharged him for 16 months. Police inspector Pierre Grech prosecuted.
