When we see how their people have descended to abysmal depths when they are all in the same family – and when they are only trying to find a new leader who may, perhaps, lead them to the promised land… when you meet so many Brutuses…. Imagine, just imagine what an apocalyptical catastrophe would have hit our prosperous island had these same people won the general election! Just try to imagine….

Where are those correspondents who used to use these columns to predict historical Labour victories at the polls; who used to assure us that people were desperately yearning for a change; who often assured us that all our ills would be over after 8 March? Where are these correspondents today? And what are those Nationalist supporters who decided not to vote saying now? Surely they must be hiding their heads in shame!

Moses took 40 years roaming in the wilderness before he took his people to the promised land. A little more effort by the Labour administration and their new leader will certainly break the record set by Moses thousands of years ago.
