There are a lot of other subjects Daphne Caruana Galizia can write about besides the Labour Party.

Her fixation about Alfred Sant is now bordering on the paranoid.

Even before a new leader for the Labour Party has been elected, she seems to be getting her teeth into Joseph Muscat, probably because he seems to be the favourite. In previous articles she kept going on about that anyone else is better than Dr Sant. Now there is going to be someone else, but it seems that he is going to get the same treatment.

How about some articles about the state of our agriculture? The latest report states that within a short period of time, global warming, will affect this sector negatively. Surely this should ring some alarm bells.

Maybe an article on how we can grow more crops here instead of destroying our arable land by building on every patch of soil would make interesting reading.

Here is another suggestion. How about efficiency? Every government department and every company/business in Malta will tell you that if you want something done “you have to come to our office”.

Maybe she should start asking why a simple transaction, like having an itemised telephone bill, necessitate a visit to a Go centre.

Dr Austin Gatt would like to reduce the number of cars on the roads. Doing a lot of errands on the phone/internet (now that this is a smart island) would help with reducing traffic on the roads, save fuel, reduce exhaust emissions, accidents, insurance claims, and so on.

I can go on making suggestions galore, after all lateral thinking was thought of by a Maltese national. How about using it?

Go on, do try.
