Marsaxlokk forward Kevin Sammut has been awarded the BOV Player of the Month award for the third time this season. This is the first time since the introduction of the award that a player has been chosen as the Player of the Month three times in one football season.

The Marsaxlokk and Malta international forward did just that when he scooped the journalists' honour for May. This honour follows his achievements for the months of February and April. The Player of the Month award came after yet another excellent spell, culminating in his impressive display during the Marsaxlokk win over newly-crowned champions Valletta FC.

Factors contributing to this impressive form have been the player's dedication, consistency and an unflinching spirit to give his utmost for the team. His technical qualities need not be glossed over again, except that his ratings in terms of skills have been of the highest order.

Karl Spiteri, Manager Corporate Branding and Quality presented the trophy to Sammut, who chose the Children's Cancer Support Group as the organisation to benefit from the monthly donation BOV makes in association with this award.
