The Kellogg’s-sponsored Skolasport Manifestation Day provided great fun for participants and their families.
Skolasport organised by Kunsill Malti ghall-iSport, holds this Manifestation Day annually to round up the winter 2007/2008 programme. Skolasport Manifestation Day, which is officially sponsored by Kellogg’s, provided a day filled with fun sporting activities and entertainment for all its participants and their families at the Marsa Sports Grounds. Over 1,000 children, together with their parents, were present for this event.
The event kicked off with a display of circuit games for the younger children while participants aged over 11 led many open mini-games in the adjacent grounds. A number of parents also joined the fitness activities.
The highlight of this year’s Skolasport’s Manifestation programme included the guest appearance of Morena after her return from the Eurovision Song Contest. She sang her popular song ‘Vodka’ to the delight of all the audience. Her performance was preceded by Joe Demicoli’s humourous songs and a performance by dancers from Alison Ellul Dance Studio. The programme was compered by Annalise Ellul.
Marco Cachia, Commercial Manager at Charles Darmanin Co Ltd, distributor of Kellogg’s in Malta, said: “Kellogg’s believes in Skolasport’s valuable service in developing sport talents among the young generation. Both Skolasport and Kellogg’s share the same objective. They encourage a healthy lifestyle through a balanced diet and sports participation.” Ms Louise Busuttil, Director of Charles Darmanin Co Ltd, presented the Kellogg’s sponsorship for Skolasport to Kunsill Malti ghall-Isport.
Mr Clyde Puli, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sports, addressed the assembly followed by a presentation of medals to all Skolasport participants.
