Sex And the city

Malta Independent Monday, 9 June 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 19 years ago

People who never watched the teleserials might think that it is a frivolous show aimed solely to entertain and to make the women watching it envious about the clothes the protagonists wear.

And, to tell you the truth, that was my idea too before my partner dragged me to the cinema to watch the film which, I was told, continued the story that was left off in the teleserial.

But I left the cinema refreshed after having spent two hours of entertainment, yes, but also of deep thought. Because the film is not only about the glamour and the clothes. It is all about relationships – between man and woman, and between friends too.

And I must say that there is a lot to learn if one had to look deep within the film.

I will not go into too much detail so as not to spoil the story for those who are still to watch it. What I can say is that the film can teach the viewers a lot about how to react in the different circumstances the protagonists find themselves in during the film.

I encourage all those who have an interest in their own relationship with their partner and their friends to go to watch it.
