I would like to refer to the contribution Odds & Ends (TMID, 9 June). I would like to take the opportunity to thank the author and the residents of Sir Luigi Preziosi Street in Bugibba for their kind appraisal. Some unforeseen circumstances arose before the cars they complained about could be removed, and hence this was not an easy task as it seems to be.

I hereby take the opportunity to kindly ask the residents to continuously keep in contact with the local council administrative office and forward their suggestions in order for us to have a better environment in our locality, particularly now that summer is approaching and an influx of people, both locals and foreign, choose this locality to spend their holidays in.
