Tourism parliamentary secretary Mario de Marco’s comments that tourism “ is a fragile and volatile market “ hits the nail on the head.

It is so disappointing to hear that even a few professionals in the medical field are taking some tourists for a ride.

Take this week for instance – a tourist was referred for admission to a private hospital for mild sunburn! A condition for which a Maltese patient would have been well treated at home.

We do not need commission motivated medical treatment.
