Maltese Double Trap Shooter William Chetcuti took part in the ISSF World Cup 2008 in Belgrade were he placed 20th overall, among the best double trap shooters in the world.

In his first and second rounds of 50 clays each William managed 45 and 45. In his third round, he managed 46 out of 50, for a total of 136/150. He placed 20th overall.

Sodhi Ronjan of India won the Gold medal with 147+47=194 which is an equal world record and an equal final world record.

Richard Faulds from Great Britain won Silver with 145+47=192

Hakan Dahlby from Sweden won Bronze with 144+47=191.
